The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) said that Turkish Airlines may soon resume its flights to Afghanistan.

Imamuddin Ahmadi, spokesperson for the ministry, pledged that all facilities have been provided for international companies to operate flights from the country's airports.

According to information from the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, in the past year, about 810,000 people have flown from Kabul airport, of which approximately 120,000 were foreign nationals.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Transport and Aviation stated: "We hope that Turkish Airlines will soon start its flights to Afghanistan. Technically and in terms of airport standards, we have no problems."

Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce and Investment said that flights through the country's airports have decreased due to visa issues with other countries.

Khanjan Alkozai, a board member of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said: "Another serious problem is the lack of visas. Many traders do not get visas from any country other than Pakistan and Iran, even our neighbor Dubai has completely closed its visa issuance."

Economic experts said that the resumption of international flights from the country's airports plays a significant role in the economic growth of Afghanistan.

Mir Shakib, an economic expert, said: "The resumption of international flights to the country can lead to the development of competition in the aviation sector and, consequently, increase the revenues of the aviation sector."

Since the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, some aviation companies, including Fly Dubai and Air Arabia, have resumed their flights to Afghanistan.
