At least 25 Haqqani network insurgents were killed during a joint Afghan forces operation on Friday in Paktika province, Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Saturday. 
 
According to the statement the operation was conducted in Giyan district and 30 other insurgents belonging to the Haqqani network were wounded.
 
During the operation a large cache of weapons belonging to the network was destroyed, the statement said. 
 
According to the statement there were no casualties among security forces and residents.
