Newly Married Soldier Among Those Killed In Paktia Attack

Among the 80 people killed in the Paktia police compound attack, one was a young soldier, Dawran Ramz, who married just two weeks ago. 

In this report, TOLOnews reporter Tamim Hamid has interviewed the 23-year-old’s family. 

His father is a former police officer and his two brothers are also policemen.          

“He was here for three days. I remember him. I told him that Dawran Jan, do not come so much. I asked him not to come every Thursday. He replied that he will not come again,” Dawran’s father said.

His brothers said the Paktia attack must be thoroughly investigated by government institutions. 

“I am very committed to my services. I wanted to leave the police force and start a private business, but I have sworn and committed to myself that I will serve the country with my life,” Dawran’s brother said. 

Dawran was a resident of Mangal Abad village in Gardez city where he held his wedding party two weeks ago.     

The national flag was hoisted on his grave.

Dawran Ramz who married only two weeks ago lost his life in Tuesday’s deadly attack on the Police Headquarters in Paktia.
