The U.S. Secretary of Defense, Jim Mattis, has said that President Donald Trump will meet with his National Security Team on Friday evening where they will talk on Washington’s new strategy on Afghanistan.

Talks and discussions on Afghanistan started over last six months, but tonight’s discussion seems to find a way forward to finalize the Afghanistan war strategy.

The U.S. former foreign policy advisor, Paul Bonicelli, meanwhile said Washington at least needs to deploy 10,000 soldiers to Afghanistan to win the long-lasted war.
