At least three police force members and a contractor lost their lives in an ambush by the Taliban militants in Poshtrod district in Farah province, local officials said Saturday.
 
Nasir Mehri, spokesman for Farah governor, said the incident took place on Friday when the police force members were on their way to the center of the province. 
 
A local resident said the Taliban fighters had army uniforms and after stopping the police vehicle, they opened fire on them. 
 
Taliban has not commented on the report.
 
Local officials have not provided details in this respect.
